Meet the Artist

I have been fond of art for as long as I can remember. I read continuously as a child and was always drawing and coloring. This shaped my decision to pursue a degree in the arts. I graduated from The University of Northwestern in St. Paul, MN with my bachelor’s degree in fine art with an emphasis on illustration. I currently live in Cross Plains, Wisconsin and am a store manager of a vintage shop, while pursuing freelance art and writing.

My passion is rooted in creating art for the youth of today’s society. I am a firm believer that a child’s youth is crucial to how they grow up and see the world. With my art, I attempt to provide positive energy through visual scenes of joy using color, texture, and words.

There is something near and dear to me about the subtle imperfections of traditional mediums that are not attainable with digital methods of art. Though I work with a variety of mediums including watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media sculpture, my personal favorite will always be ink illustration.

My dream is to publish a plethora of books for children so as to keep them learning and full of curiosity, while providing tools to stimulate their ever growing imagination. I believe you’re  only a kid once, but if you do it right, you’ll have something to hold onto forever.

If you're interested in any of the art seen here on my website, or if you'd like me to design something totally unique for you, head over to the "Contact" page to get in touch with me. I'd love to hear from you and discuss potential custom work I can create that fits your vision.

Stay youthful, stay whimsical,
